2D to 3D Conversion With Stereoscopic 3D

Hello readers, let’s look upon 2D to stereoscopic 3D conversion in this blog.

The process of transforming 2D flat film to 3D form is called 2D to stereo 3D conversion or in other words it is a technique to enhance the illusion of depth by means of binocular vision.

During this conversion process depth perception is added into the digital images.

The conversion should be done with sufficient accuracy and correctness; the quality of 2D images should not deteriorate.

As more and more films are released in 3D now days, 2D to 3D conversion is becoming more common today.

More often non-CGI stereo 3D blockbusters movies are converted fully or sometimes partially from 2D footage.

Film like Avatar contains 2D scenes and converted to stereo in post-production.

Financial, Technical and Artistic are the reasons behind the shooting in 2D instead of Stereo.

The need for high quality stereoscopic images is growing; 2D to 3D stereo conversion will grow large in future.

Reason For 2D To 3D Stereo Conversion

2D to 3D stereo conversion gave a whole new dimension to Disney movies.

Animated films like Toy Story 3 or Tangled have generated stereo imagery from software like stereo-RenderMan.

3D provides the third dimension of depth which can be perceived by the human vision in the form of binocular disparity.

The advancement in the field of computer animation provides a second camera view which gives depth and volume to each and every 2D frame.

Filming in 3D requires various parameters and is expensive, bulky and complicated; stereo post-production is also expensive and time consuming compared to stereo conversion.

There is a high chance of various mismatches in stereo image like tilt, colour shift, vertical parallax during stereo camera shooting and it can be more complex than stereo conversion.

Stereo post-production is more complex, requires more work, time consuming and not well-established.

Stereo conversion is more cost effective and easy to achieve rather than stereo camera shooting or stereo post-production.

The stereographers uses as many digital retakes as required to perfect angle and depth in order to maximise the quality of each sequence in movie.

By the technique of stereoscopic 3D film artists create visual perception of a 3 dimensional image from the 2D flat surface or 2D image.

Stereoscopic supervisor Bob Whitehill at Pixar Animation Studios says he sets the parameters on a shot-by-shot basis.

Methods of stereo conversion use depth maps based rendering.

A depth map has grey scale that contains information about the interval or gap of the surfaces of scene objects from a viewpoint.

Depth Map is needed to determine the right distribution of the objects for the second eye.

Conversion of 2D image into 3D stereoscopic needs a good depth map first; depth map is consists of various shades of gray to show the depth of every part of the frame.

It requires reconstruction of 3D shapes from single or multi-view depth maps.

Steps for depth based conversion methods are Depth budget allotment, every important surface should be separated and depth map should be created.

Image segmentation, depth map creation are time-consuming steps.

People attached to such work are called depth artist.

Multi-Layering is another technique for 3d stereo conversion in which multi-layering involves implying a depth map to more than one slice of the flat image resulting in a much better depth.

3D reconstruction is also used in stereo conversion; it works well in the scenes with static rigid objects such as shots with buildings, interior shots and soft fuzzy edges.

Key to good 2D to 3D conversion is Depth Maps quality.

Usually depth maps are created for each frame present in the scene.

A good conversion can be achieved by maintaining overall nice working relationship with supervisors.

Filmmakers should make a good film in stereo rather than good stereo film.

Stereo conversion is applied in converting older films such as Star Wars.

Studio like ILM converted Star Wars films for director George Lucas.

Roto tool is used for stereo conversion by volume; it is a time consuming work in conversion process.

Roto helps to outline any character in shot.

Prime Focus converted The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

In the film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader the team used View-D to convert mono shots to final stereo shots in about 8 weeks.

View-D 2D to stereo 3D conversion tool is another example; used after roto.

This was developed in Prime Focus by Chris Bond.

View-D tool allows artists to work on roto and then build second eye and stereo effect.

Ocula has been made by The Foundry in London for stereo post-production; it produced high quality disparity maps for high quality solution.

Many VFX houses use Ocula; it was used for Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

High quality conversion methods should deal with problems like Reflections, Film Grain, scenes with fast erratic motion etc.

In case of automatic conversion, a depth map of the entire scene can be calculated through camera motion.

In 2008 Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films depended on In –Three for the live action 2D to 3D conversion of movie G-Force and Sony Pictures Image works converted CG animated scenes.

Disney returned to In –Three for the film Alice in Wonderland.

In-Three was founded in 1999 and patented a process called Dimensionalization t which helps to convert 2D films into high quality 3D films or development in stereoscopic reconstruction of two dimensional images.

Artists face challenged in handling finest details in Alice in Wonderland as women had wispy hair; there were leafy trees and lot of vegetations.

Stereoscopic films have influenced cinema a lot and will continue to impress audience in near future.

Standard release of the film Clash of the Titans occurred first and then 3D converted version was released in the same year.

View-D conversion process was used to convert the movie into 3D.

Pixar One Of The Finest Animation Studio

Hello Readers, today through this blog we will take you into the domain of Pixar Animation Studio.

How can we forget the vivid, brilliant and vibrant moving images of the films like Cars, Toy Story, Incredibles, Coco, Finding Nemo and Ratatouille.

For all those stunning Movies the credit goes to none other than Pixar, one of the finest animation studios in the world.

We generally see a hopping desk Lamp with the name Pixar, Luxo Jr. is studio’s mascot.

Founder George Lucas was awarded Lifetime Achievement Award by the Venice Film Festival on September 2009.

Pixar Animation Studio

Pixar Animation Studio is based in Emeryville California, currently owned by Walt Disney Company.

This American animation studio started in 1979 when founder George Lucas recruited Edwin Catmull from New York Institute of Technology to head Lucas film’s computer Division.

Edwin Catmull contributed in many important developments in computer graphics.

In 1986 Steve Job purchased the Computer Division from George Lucas and established an independent company Pixar with 40 people employed and Catmull became Chief Technical Officer.

As Walt Disney Studio was interested in Pixar Image Computer, Pixar and Disney started collaboration on Computer Animation Production System (CAPS) which revolutionized the creation of traditional animated films.

Pixar Animation Studio is famous for CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) animated feature films created with RenderMan-Rendering Application Programming Interface which is used to generate high-quality images.

Pixar Animation Studio created RenderMan, a 3D rendering software used to render Pixar’s in-house 3D animated movie productions and also available as a commercial product to other companies.

The digital revolution in filmmaking was driven by applied mathematics along with computational physics and geometry.

Short Film Luxo Jr. is one of the first projects completed by Pixar in the year 1986.

John Lasseter wrote and directed this 2 minute short film.

The story revolves around one large and one small desk lamp.

Luxo Sr. is the larger lamp while Luxo Jr. is the smaller lamp, junior lamp plays with a ball that flattens accidently.

The hopping desk lamp is included in the Pixar’s corporate logo.

The director John Lasseter wanted to complete this short film for the 1986 SIGGRAPH, an annual computer graphics conference attended by many industry professionals.

This animated film displayed the use of shadow maps within the rendering software, CGI Shadows were created by adding darken as well as flattened version of the shadowed object.

John Lasseter put the classic animation principles popularised by Disney’s Nine Old Men to convey the lamps’ emotions.

Edwin Catmull and Lasseter worked around the clock and the film took four and a half month to complete.

Pixar has made both feature films and short films, Toy Story (1995) is the first-ever computer animated feature film.

After the success of Pixar’s short film Tin Toy in the 1988, Disney approached to Pixar to produce computer-animated feature film.

With Walt Disney Animation Studio, Pixar made a historic $26 million deal to produce three computer-animated feature films and Toy Story was first of them.

Toy Story (1995) is the Pixar’s first feature film entirely computer-animated and first feature film directed by John Lasseter.

About 27 animators worked on the film Toy Story, Woody character was the most complex as he required 723 motion controls including 212 for face and 58 for his mouth.

Each and every shot of this film passed through the hands of eight different teams, the art department finalised the colour scheme and general lighting for each shot.

For this film the shading team used RenderMan’s shader language to create shader programs for each model’s surface.

Each frame took 45 minutes to 30 hours to render depending upon the complexity.

Toy Story required 800,000 machine hours and 114, 240 frames of animation in total.

Academy Award Winning Movies by Pixar Animation Studio

Pixar Animation Studio won 19 Academy Awards or Oscar Awards for Best Animated Feature, 8 Golden Globe Awards and 11 Grammy Awards along with other awards and acknowledgements.

Here are the Academy Award Winning Films-

Monsters, Inc. (2001) directed by Pete Docter used new fur simulation program called Fizt.

Fizt allowed Sulley’s (furry blue monster) fur to react in a more natural way.

Fizt program also helped to control the movement of the Boo’s clothes in the film.

Produced by Pixar Animation Studio Finding Nemo made in the year 2003 won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

To make the movement of the fish believable, animators took a crash course in fish biology and oceanography.

Animators visited aquariums, did diving in Hawaii and received lectures from ichthyologist

Pixar Animation Studio’s Superhit film The Incredibles (2004) received widespread approval from critics and won two Academy Awards.

The animation team of Pixar Studio worked hard to animate all human cast of this film, which required creating new technology to animate detailed human anatomy, clothing and realistic skin and hair.

In The Incredibles the skin of the characters gained a new level of realism from a technology called Subsurface Scattering.

Disney purchased Pixar in the year 2006 and Cars (2006) is the Pixar’s last independently produced film.

Computers used in the development of this film were four times faster than those used in The Incredibles.

Before making the film director John Lasseter visited Ford Motor Company to learn how real cars were designed.

Animators worked for many months on figuring out the movement of the cars.

Film Ratatouille (2007) won Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in the year 2007.

The animators observed the movement of the pet rats before designing the rat character.

Pixer Animation Studio @ AnimationKolkata

Pixar Studio’s WALL-E (2008) was instant blockbuster and topped Time magazine’s list as Best Movies of the Decade.

Most Pixar’s films have up to 75,000 storyboards but WALL-E required 125,000.

The animation crew used to watch Keaton and Charlie Chaplin’s film for animating robots.

Different 2D Software And Its Implementation

Today we are going to discuss about different types of 2D software and its implementation.

2D software allows the artist to create character movement in two-dimensional space.

A 2D animated character can move up, down, left and right but cannot move toward or away from the viewer.

Animation can teach, entertain and inspire the audience.

Presently Animation Industry depends on the skilled and highly specialised workforce to undertake massive 2D animation projects.

Modern 2D animators don’t use paper and pencil anymore to create animated features in the Audio-Visual medium.

2D animation has become fully digital now days and uses cutting edge technology to create the breathtaking detail and artistic fidelity that we have already witnessed in our modern films.

Few digital tools developed for 2D animators are highly specialised to perform one function while others offer almost everything you need for creating a full-length animation right from your Personal Computer (PC).

The following are the 2D software available in the market-

CelAction2D

CelAction2D is the professional software for films, TV series and commercials.

It represents the state-of-the-art in high quality, high volume production.

Moho

Moho is the vector-based animation software distributed by Smith Micro Software.

This software comes in two different versions, Moho Debut and Moho Pro.

Pencil2D

Pencil2D software is the free and open-source 2D animation software available for Windows, Mac OS and Linux.

Pencil2D uses a bitmap/vector drawing interface to produce simple 2D graphics and drawings as well as animation.

Toon Boom and Adobe Flash.

Here we will focus on commonly used 2D software which is Toon Boom Harmany and Flash.

Toon Boom Harmony Software

Toon Boom Harmony is produced by Canadian Software Company Toon Boom Animation, Inc founded in 1994 and based in Montreal, Quebec.

Toon Boom Harmony develops animation and storyboarding software for film, television, web animation, games, mobile devices, training applications and education.

Toon Boom Harmony is used in over 130 Countries and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2005 and 2012.

Toon Boom purchased the software development business of US Animation Studio in 1996.

In the year 2012 Toon Boom Harmony was acquired by Corus Entertainment.

Toon Boom Harmony 14 is the latest version launched in 2016.

Toon Boom Harmony is affordable for both professionals and amateurs.

Toon Boom contains the tools required to handle cut-out (feature) paperless frame by frame and traditional animation workflows from scanning to compositing and 2D/3D integration.

It has toolset like pencil line with textures, deformation tools, morphing, inverse kinematics, particles, built-in-compositor, 3D camera and 2D-3D integration.

Users can draw animation directly into the software using a graphics tablet in case of paperless animation solution.

Harmony has tools for both traditional frame-by-frame animation and “puppet rig” style animation.

Harmony has been used in the films like The Simpsons, The Princess and the Frog, The Congress, My little Pony: the movie and others.

Harmony Server provides capabilities for teams of animators using Harmony who wants to share files and manage assets from a central database that is located on a server.

Harmony Server includes production controls for managing rendering jobs and coordinating batch scanning of paper drawings.

Toon Boom Storyboard Pro software is used in pre-production to create storyboards for a wide variety of project types including 2D and 3D animation, stop motion and live action productions.

Storyboard Pro software contains all the tools required to create storyboards and animatics.

Hence Harmony for all animation tasks, Storyboard Pro for storyboarding and concept visualization and Harmony Server, is meant to help synchronize the works of large studios by acting as a repository for animation assets and storage.

Adobe Flash

Adobe Flash Software is used for production of animations, rich internet applications, desktop applications, mobile applications, mobile games and embedded web browser video players.

Adobe Flash displays text, vector graphics and raster graphics to provide animations, video games and applications.

This software allows streaming of Audio-Video and can capture mouse, keyboard, microphone and camera input.

2D artist can produce Flash graphics and animations using Adobe Animate.

In Early 2000, Flash was widely installed on desktop computers and was commonly used to display interactive web pages, online games and to playback video and audio content.

You Tube used Flash Player in 2005 as a means to display compressed video content on the web.

During 2000 and 2010, many Companies like Nike, Hewlett-Packard, Nokia, Cartoon Network, HBO, Disney and Motorola used Flash-based websites to launch new products or to create interactive company portals.

Games developed by Flash software include Angry Birds, Clash of Clans, Farm Ville, Adventure Quest and many others.

Adobe launched various technologies to help build video games including Adobe AIR (to release games for desktop or mobile platforms), Adobe Scout (to improve performance), CrossBridge (to convert C++-based games to run in Flash), and Stage3D (to support GPU-accelerated video games).

Compared with Anime Studio and Toon Boom Animation, Adobe Animate is one of the common animation programs for low-cost 2D television and commercial animation.

Flash software is used less for feature-length animated films but an Irish film The Secret of Kells (2009) was animated primarily in Adobe Flash and was nominated for Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 82nd Academy Awards ceremony.

The End-users can view Flash content via Flash Player (for web browsers), AIR (for desktop or mobile apps) or third-party players such as Scaleform (for video games).

Both Harmony and Adobe Flash are the go-to software for modern-day 2D digital animators due to their low cost and potential shortcuts that are not offered with traditional ink-and-paint animation.

Worthy To Note About 2D & 3D Modeling

In our todays blog we will be discussing about 2d and 3d Modeling.

Some of the most popular cartoon animation of recent times like Chhota Bheem, Roll no.21 has won million of hearts in India and other parts of the world.

Nobody can ignore the Computer Generated beautiful, bright, colourful illustrations of cartoon figures which are capable of entertaining the audience.

The Term 2D means Two-Dimensional and 3D stands for Three- Dimensional.

2D modelling provides us a flat image without depth.

Dimension allows us to see and measure an object from any side such as height, width, depth or thickness. Everything in our reality is three-dimensional.

For example A car is three-dimensions but a photograph of a car or a drawing of a car has only two dimensions.

A photograph or a hand sketched drawing lacks depth.

A line drawn on a sheet of paper is One Dimensional (1D) that means it has only one aspect that is Length.

Whereas shapes as Rectangle, Square, Triangle, Polygon etc are two dimensional (2D) that means they have two aspects Height and Length. Shapes like Cylinder, Cube or Prism are three Dimensional; they have Depth.

2D artist creates model in a two-dimensional artistic space. It requires creativity as well as technological skills.

2D artist draw character by using digital pencil, paintbrush, eraser, and other tools.

In Computer Graphics 2D artist creates the model of characters, storyboards and backgrounds in two-dimensional environments.

Artist uses bitmap and vector graphics to create and edit the 2Dimensional images and they use computer software like CelAction2D, Anime Studio, Adobe Photoshop, Flash, After Effects etc.

Walt Disney’s full-length-feature movies like Mulan, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, The Jungle Book and many more are the all time favourite 2D animation movies.

The Cartoon characters, background, props were all drawn by hand.

In case of 2D animation movie, artist along with the director decides the complete plot of the movie, at Pre-production stage.

It is very important to draw each and every shot very carefully because redrawing a shot is very laborious work.

A 2D modeler, develop storyboards, design characters, arrange characters and items in a scene, creates graphics, motion and animation using computers and edit animation based on feedback from a director.

A shot may contain only one drawing or about ten to twenty drawings.

In Animation Studios artist draws main characters on the Key-frame digitally then they add colour and give movement to the characters.

Now days Digital cells are coloured on a computer; a background is drawn on the computer or scanned.

The background can be imported into an animation program and each cell is layered onto the background in succession and then saved on the computer as a single video file.

During the production stage the detail drawing of each and every shots are completed.

The last stage is post-production; it includes adding of audio (sound effects, music, voice over) to the video and rendering final output.

There is a huge market for 2D modeling in mobile gaming, commercials or TV serials for kids and adults.

2D software like Toon Boom Harmony is a powerful tool in the hand of professional. Disney movie ‘The Princess and the Frog’ was made using this software.

It offers wide range of effects of Pencils and Brushes.

2D software offers traditional frame-by-frame animation or cut-out.

The artist who works with 3D models are called 3D artist.

The technique of producing a computer generated 3 dimensional digital representation of any object or surface is called 3D modeling. Computer Generated 3D models are used in Video Games, Movies, Architecture, Fashion designing, Advertising and Television.

 Animation Modeling @animation Kolkata

A 3D artist works on polygon mesh, which is a collection of vertices, edges and faces that defines the shape of a polyhedral object in 3D computer graphics and solid modeling.

Different types of polygon meshes are used for different applications and goals. Operations like smoothing, simplification can be performed on meshes. Volumetric meshes are different from Polygon meshes; as Volumetric Mesh represents both surface and volume of a structure but Polygon Mesh represent only the surface.

Mesh can be used to model both solid shapes and thin ‘skins’. Complex polygon meshes provides people, animals and other complex shapes.

Animators and Game designers depend on 3D modelling to bring their ideas to life.

The Software Autodesk Maya and 3D Max are the industry standard in 3D modelling and animation.

Software Maya runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.

It is originally developed by Alias Systems Corporation.

It helps to create 3D Video games, animated films, TV series and Visual effects.

Software 3D Max is capable of modelling and can be used on Microsoft Windows platform. This software is mainly used by Video game developers, architectural visualization studios and TV commercial studios.

The film ‘Toy Story’ made in 1995 was the first 3D computer animated feature film from Pixar.

3D movies have become very popular now.

Breathtaking 3D movies are releasing every year in the theatres such as Kung Fu Panda, How to train your dragon, Ice Age and the list goes .

3D models created for animation may contain thousands of control points, for example ‘Woody’ from ‘Toy story’ has 700 specialized animation controllers and ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ has 1,851 controllers. Animation Modeling @animation Kolkata

In case of 3D animation, models are built on the computer monitor and 3D figures are rigged with a virtual skeleton.

Whereas in 2D figure animations, separate illustrations and separate transparent layers are used without virtual skeleton; different body parts are moved on Key frames.

In 3D animations, all frames must be rendered after the modeling is complete but in 2D vector animations, the rendering process is the key frame illustration process, while in-between frames are rendered as needed.

Lighting is essential part in 3D modeling.

In 3D one or more cameras can be created.

3D modeling is more time consuming process than a 2D modeling because a 3D artist takes into account all the different views which means every side of the object has to look good whereas a 2D model only has one side.

3D modelling and animation has become very popular over the past few years.

People are more interested to watch 3D visuals due to its realistic and attractiveness.

The World of Animation 2D & 3D

As we all know Animation is a technique to give motion to the still images.

Animation gives the life to the characters and elements which help to communicate with the audience.

Animations are made with Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI).

Animation is achieved by a rapid succession of continuous images that slightly differ from each other.

Computer animation has become popular since Toy Story (1995), the first fully computer animated feature-length animated film.

Animated films are based on animal characters, Giant, machines, or cartoon-like humans.

Now a day Animation studios are creating realistic-looking humans. Films that have attempted this include Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within in 2001, Final Fantasy: Advent Children in 2005, The Polar Express in 2004 etc. Films like ‘The Incredibles’ and ‘Up’ have humans as protagonists, while films like ‘Avatar’ combine animation with live action to create humanoid creatures.

Computer Animation can be divided into 2D and 3D Animation.

2D Animation

In 2D animation artist creates movement in a two-dimensional space.

It requires creativity and technological skills. 2D animation helps to create characters, storyboards and backgrounds in two-dimensional environments.

Traditional 2D Animation is a technique where images are hand-drawn with every image showing some fine changes from the other image.

2D Animated Pictures are flat, without depth and shows one perspective. Objects and characters are usually drawn without fine soft shadows that we see in real life and colours have less varying shades.

2D animation uses Bitmap and Vector graphics to create and edit the animated images and is created using software programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Flash, Adobe After Effects and Anime Studio.

These animations are used in advertisements, films, television shows, computer games or websites.

Creation of 2D animation requires: Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production.

In the stage of Pre-production each shot need to be drawn correctly.

Here the main action in each scene is drawn in a comic book-like form. Storyboard is completed during this stage.

In 2D animation, character moves from one key-frame to another, thus giving an illusion of continuous movement.

The drawings are divided into “keys” and “in-betweens”. Keys have important drawing that shows the extremes of the character’s movement.

The first drawing is always a key-while “in-between” are the less important drawings in the shot. During Production motion is added to the characters.

Rotoscopy
Anime
Onion skimming
Twining
 Morphing

The above mentioned points are the main techniques used in 2D Animation.

Finally in Post-Production: Audio, music, sound effects, visual effects are added to the animation. Animation is edited with editing software and then final output comes.

Examples of 2D Animation are Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Snow white, the little mermaid etc.

Animation World @ Animation KolkataAnimation World @ Animation Kolkata

Why 2D animation:-

Since its advent in the early 1900s, it has provided huge benefits to animated projects.

2D animation is faster to create
as it does not require third dimension.

2D Animation is quicker to produce, requires less time.
It is very simple to redraw errors in 2D Animation.
Production cost is low.
3D Animation

It is the process of generating three-dimensional moving images in a digital platform.

The difference between 2D and 3D animation is the appearance of depth or the three-dimensional features. 2D Animation is a flat animation where all the actions happen in X and Y axis.

Whereas in 3D an extra dimension Z axis is present. Where X denotes height, Y denotes width and Z denotes depth.

In 1972 Edwin Earl Catmull and Fred Parke created the world’s first 3D rendered movie, an animated version of Edwin’s Left Hand. Currently Edwin Catmull is the president of Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studio.

The technique of generating 3D Animation can be categorized into three main sections such as Modeling, Layout and Animation and Rendering.

Modeling is the phase that describes the procedure of generating 3D objects within a certain scene. 3D Created scene can easily be viewed from a number of angles.

Skilled Animators create a 3D polygon mesh with various connected vertices to give form to the object or character.

he mesh is then rigged by giving it an armature, a skeletal structure that can be controlled to make the object appear in specific poses.

Layout and animation phase helps in the positioning and animating the objects within a certain scene. Lastly, rendering stage is the end result or output of completed computer graphics.

3D Animation involves the following steps:-

Concept and storyboards
3D Modelling
Texturing
Rigging
Animation
Lighting
Camera Setting
Rendering
Compositing and Special VFX
Music and Foley
Editing and Final output
3D allows to create realistic objects. One can use textures and lighting to create objects that appear solid, and can even be integrated seamlessly into live video elements.

Autodesk 3Ds Max, Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D, Houdini, ZBrush, and Blender are some of commonly used software used to create 3D animation.

Examples of 3D Animation are films like Toy Story, Shrek, Frozen, The Transformers etc.

3D animation is widely used in the following sectors:-

Architecture, Medical, Aerospace, Engineering, biotechnology, gaming industry, Television Commercials, Educational purpose, films and many more.

Why 3D Animation:-

3D animation is more realistic and exciting
3D models can be reused for future projects.
3D Animation is more popular among the audience
3D Animation requires more time
Other types of 3D Animation are:-

Stop-Motion
Clay Animation
Cel Animation
Paint-On-Glass Animation
In the year 1932, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented award for the first time to the Animated short called ‘Flowers and Trees’ directed by Burt Gillett and produced by Walt Disney Productions.

In India, Film ‘Roadside Romeo’ (2008) was the first 3D animated film, written and directed by Jugal Hansraj Television series ‘Captain Vyom’ had used first VFX and 3D Animation.

The ‘Annie Award’ is presented for excellence in the field of Animation.

Animation is used for entertainment purpose. Along with entertainment it is also an Art form appreciated in all over the world.

Along with Walt Disney, other studios like Pixar, DreamWorks are doing marvellous work in the field of Animation.

Use Of Paramount Text Effects In Photoshop

Our today’s article of MAAC Kolkata Animation represents and delineates the various text effects in typography of Photoshop.

Eventual outcomes is a fantastically flexible program with regards to making and quickening content text.

Here’s an exhibit for probably the most instructive and productive points that will make you a kinetic typography ace in a matter of seconds.

This blog will make a ground for those who are seeking to learn from our sectors.

Eventual outcomes can be somewhat overpowering at first, and content text is no special case.

Dread not… these After Effects tutorials clarify things in a straight path without forgetting the little points of interest that a few instructional exhibits basically derive.

With the learning this guide gives, your inventiveness will never again be constrained by your product abilities.

We’ve orchestrated these in a request that we think gives the best learning process, beginning with Animation and closure with stylization.

In the event that you are as of now positive about one system, you can simply proceed onward to the following one that is new or needs rehearse.

Fundamental Text Editing and Animation

Prior to bounding into typography and stylization, it is elementary and fundamental that you see how to alter content text layers and apply content text Animations inside After Effects.

This extraordinary instructional exercise by After Effects wizard Mikey Borup forgets little detail in clarifying the mechanics of content text layers.

While making content text designs in another program, for example, Illustrator may be all the more engaging numerous clients, it’s still extremely supportive to know how to make a message on the fly inside After Effects, as it is all the more sympathetic to future changes.

Active and Kinetic Typography Fundamentals

This is the place things begin to get fun.

Kinetic typography is ordinary in all types of present-day media, particularly music recordings and discourse overwhelming substance.

Fortunately, it doesn’t take excessively specialized ability to make message all the more energizing — this video alone offers enough data for you to have the capacity to promptly begin making fun and dynamic sound-driven content text Animations.

With a few hints on the real rationale behind kinetic typography, rather than simply specialized methods, this instructional exercise truly outstanding regarding the matter.

Written by Hand Text

The penmanship content text impact is likely something you’ve seen previously, and you may have ended up pondering what strategies are included.

It’s shockingly straightforward, as appeared by this amazing instructional exercise which includes a stellar case to show its potential.

The utilization of strokes and matte layers to accomplish this is an extraordinary method to enhance your comprehension of how they function and what ways they can be connected.

3D Kinetic Typography

When you’re feeling good with 2D typography, and have a not too bad comprehension of 3D space in After Effects, you can give this PremiumBeat instructional method to demonstrate to you generally accepted methods to take your content text to the following measurement.

This gives some supportive tips for utilizing the layer snap work too.

3D Text Extrusion

Look no further!
